Cosmic Legions Character Packs- SpartanNerd

See video of my thoughts on this product here.

Rather than do a full review, I thought I would just show photos of what this is about with light commentary. I purchased the “Greyborn” and the “Serpent Soldier” character packs, which are basically just alternate heads to put on your Mythic Legions or Cosmic Legions figures. Keep reading to see how good this actually is!

PACKAGING. I wondered if they would just come polybagged or something. But we have proper Cosmic Legions packaging. Click the photos for a closer look.

GREYBORN SWAPS

The Greyborn purchase was an add-on for me. I really wanted the Serpent Soldier, but just couldn’t resist at the low price they were offered.

This was the first thing I did. It just works somehow. PICTURED: Warrior Beasts Head Hunter with Greyborn head.
This is the Mythic Legions Undead Builder figure as a base, with the robe from Maxxilius the Harvester and one of the Mythic Legions lightning blast effect. Zapping MASTERVERSE Vykron in his space suit. I hate to say the words, but this look invokes Snoke from the Sequel Trilogy.
The most obvious swap for me was with the Cosmic Legions T.U.5.C.C. pilot and Waltor the Mad. These both came with more gruesome and beastly alien heads, but these “classical alien” heads work perfectly.

SERPENT SOLDIER SWAPS

I just love the Mythic Legions Ninian Infantry snake men figures…some of my favorite for this year. The blue heads are billed as Cosmic Legions, and don’t really match the Ninian Infantry except for the blue soft goods piece.

Besides this post, my most recent was for MASTERVERSE Kobra Khan, a figure that I find kind of dismal. This blue head is an improvement, though. The ball joint is too small, so I used some blue tack to make it work.

MASTERVERSE Sorceress Teela becomes someone completely different with this head. It is slightly too big, but that kind of somehow adds to the monstrous quality of the figure. (On all of the MASTERVERSE figures, it will have to be blue tack.)

I think this is my favorite swap out, though. Faker is the perfect shade of blue to go with this Serpent Soldier head.

OVERALL

I am not rating these…instead recommending them to everyone who might just like the character of alien snake guys or classical gray aliens. It just kind of…works. And it really improves Kobra Khan. No more “Muppet” head!
